Defect
The bend location on the fuel pipe relative to the pipe material weld is incorrect, creating excessive stress at the weld joint. Trace corrosive components in the fuel act on this stressed area, causing microscopic cracks to form. Continued use allows fuel pressure fluctuations to propagate these cracks until, in the worst case, fuel leaks.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected fuel pipe with a corrected part.

状況
燃料パイプのパイプ材溶接部に対する曲げ位置が不適切なため、溶接部の応力が高くなり燃料中の微量な腐食成分が作用して微小な亀裂が発生することがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、燃料の圧力変動によりパイプの亀裂が進行し、最悪の場合、燃料が漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該燃料パイプを対策品に交換する。
