Defect
The forward clutch hub in the continuously variable transmission has insufficient strength. Continued use allows cracks to develop in the hub. In the worst case, the hub fractures and the vehicle loses the ability to move forward.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the serial number of the continuously variable transmission is verified. On affected units, the forward clutch hub is replaced with a corrected part.
