Defect
Improper routing of electrical wiring in the engine compartment allows the wiring to contact the edge of a retaining bracket. Continued use allows vehicle vibration to damage and short circuit the wiring, which in the worst case causes the brake lights and other rear-facing lamps to fail to illuminate, or the engine to stall and be unable to restart.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the electrical wiring is inspected. If the routing is improper, it is rerouted and secured with cable ties. Any damaged wiring is repaired.

状況
エンジンルーム内の電気配線の取り回しが不適切なため、当該配線が固定金具の端部と干渉しているものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、車体の振動等により当該配線が損傷・短絡し、最悪の場合、制動灯等後面の灯火器類が点灯しない、又はエンジンが停止し、再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該電気配線を点検し、取り回しが不適切な場合は、取り回しを変更し、ケーブルバンドで固定する。また当該配線に損傷のある場合は、配線を補修する。
