Defect

On large low-floor route buses, the ball stud thread on the rear axle lower radius rod has insufficient strength on some vehicles. Repeated removal and reinstallation of the bolt during maintenance damages the threads, causing breakage. In the worst case, driving stability may be compromised.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the lower radius rod assembly with a corrected part. Precautions regarding removal and reinstallation of the rod during maintenance will be published and communicated through the Japan Automobile Federation's official journal.

状況

大型路線バス(ノンステップ車)の緩衝装置において、後軸のロアラジアスロッドのボールスタッドねじ部の強度が不足しているものがある。そのため、整備等により当該ボルトの脱着を繰り返すと、ねじ部が損傷して破損し、最悪の場合、走行安定性が損なわれるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、ロアラジアスロッド一式を対策品に交換する。なお、当該ロッドを脱着して整備を実施する際の注意事項について日整連発行の機関誌に掲載し周知する。
