Defect
On mobility/accessibility vehicles (lift-type and kneel-down type) in which the rear floor of a standard vehicle has been lowered to accommodate a wheelchair, the lateral rod bracket welding is improper, resulting in insufficient attachment strength to the rear side member. Continued use may cause cracks to develop in the rear side member and, in the worst case, the bracket may separate from the body, damaging the left rear tire.
Corrective action
For lift-type vehicles without a lateral rod support installed: Inspect the weld condition of the lateral rod bracket on all vehicles; replace the lateral rod bracket with a new one on any vehicle with deficient welds, and repair any cracks found in the rear side member. Add a lateral rod support to all vehicles. For lift-type vehicles with a lateral rod support already installed: Inspect the weld condition of both the lateral rod bracket and lateral rod support on all vehicles; replace deficient brackets and supports with new parts, and repair any cracks in the rear side member. For kneel-down type vehicles: Inspect the weld condition of the lateral rod bracket on all vehicles; replace the lateral rod bracket with a new one on any vehicle with deficient welds, and repair any cracks found in the rear side member.

状況
車いすを収納するよう標準車のリヤフロアを低床に改造した福祉車両（リフト車，ニール ダウン車）において、ラテラルロッドブラケットの溶接が不適切なため、当該ブラケット のリヤサイドメンバへの取付け強度が不足しているものがある。そのため、そのままの状 態で使用を続けると、リヤサイドメンバに亀裂が発生し、最悪の場合、当該ブラケットが 車体から外れ、左後輪タイヤが損傷するおそれがある。
改善措置
・リフト車でラテラルロッドサポートが装着されていない場合全車両、ラテラルロッドブ ラケットの溶接状態を点検し、溶接不備のものはラテラルロッドブラケットを新品に交換 すると共にリヤサイドメンバに亀裂のあるものは補修する。また、全車両、ラテラルロッ ドサポートを追加する。 ・リフト車でラテラルロッドサポートが装着されている場合 全車両、ラテラルロッドブ ラケットおよびラテラルロッドサポートの溶接状態を点検し、溶接不備のものはラテラル ロッドブラケットおよびラテラルロッドサポートを新品に交換すると共にリヤサイドメン バに亀裂のあるものは補修する。 ・ニールダウン車の場合全車両、ラテラルロッドブラケットの溶接状態を点検し、溶接不 備のものはラテラルロッドブラケットを新品に交換すると共にリヤサイドメンバに亀裂の あるものは補修する。
