Defect
In route-service large buses, insufficient design review and inadequate assembly instructions allowed the wiring harness inside the distribution box—located at the upper right of the driver's area—to contact the rear upper edge of the air conditioning control unit. Continued operation causes vehicle vibration to damage the harness at the contact point, resulting in electrical component malfunction or a short circuit. In the worst case, a vehicle fire may occur.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, add cushioning material to the edge of the air conditioning control unit. If harness damage is found, repair the harness.

状況
路線仕様大型バスの運転席右上側に設置されている配電ボックス内ハーネスにおいて、設計上の検討と組立部門への指示が不十分であったため、エアコン制御ユニットの車両後方上側エッジ部とハーネスが干渉しているものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、干渉部のハーネスが車両振動によって損傷して電装品の不動作や配線のショートに至り、最悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エアコン制御ユニットのエッジ部に緩衝材を追加すると共に、ハーネスに損傷が認められた場合は、ハーネスを補修する。
