Defect
The manufacturing process for the headlamp power supply wiring (engine stop switch assembly) was improper, resulting in loose terminal connections inside the headlamp case. Vibration during operation causes the loose terminals to generate heat and develop poor continuity. Continued use may result in the headlamps failing to illuminate.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the engine stop switch assembly with a conforming unit and replace the turn signal switch assembly with a new unit.
