Defect
The fuel-side diaphragm — a fiber-reinforced rubber membrane — in the vacuum-operated fuel cock is improperly manufactured. On some units, reinforcing fibers are exposed on the surface of the diaphragm. Continued use allows fuel to migrate through the exposed fibers on the fuel side to the atmospheric side and leak out through the vent hole.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the cock cover assembly or the complete vacuum-type fuel cock with the corrected part.

状況
原動機の負圧で開く燃料コックの燃料側ダイヤフラム(ゴムを繊維で補強した薄膜)の製造方法が不適切なため、表面に補強用繊維が露出するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、燃料側に露出した繊維を通じて燃料が大気側に浸透し、通気孔から外に漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、コックカバー一式又は負圧式燃料コック一式を対策品と交換する。
