Defect

The lubrication method for the left-side bearing on the reduction gear shaft inside the automatic transmission is inadequate, causing the bearing to wear prematurely. Continued use produces abnormal noise and, in the worst case, the bearing may fail, causing the vehicle to decelerate abruptly.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, assess left-side reduction gear shaft bearing wear using drive shaft rotational force. 1. If wear is detected, replace the automatic transmission with a corrected part. 2. If no wear is detected, add a lubrication device.

状況

自動変速機内の減速ギヤ用シャフトに組み付けられた左側ベアリングの潤滑方法が不適切なため、当該ベアリングが摩耗するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、異音が発生し、最悪の場合、当該ベアリングが損傷し車両が急激に減速するおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、ドライブシャフトの回転力から減速ギヤ用シャフトの左側ベアリングの摩耗を点検し、1.摩耗が認められるものは自動変速機を対策品に交換する。2.摩耗が認められないものは潤滑装置を追加する。
