Issue
On vehicles equipped with a passenger-seat lift, the hinge end of the folding footrest is exposed. If the seat is lowered while the footrest is not in use, a foot or limb may contact the exposed hinge end. In the worst case, this contact can cause injury to the foot or limb.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, a protective cover will be installed over the footrest hinge and a warning label will be affixed describing proper footrest use. Because protective cover parts require additional preparation time, an interim measure will be taken: owners will be notified by direct mail of the defect and advised on safe operation. Once parts are available, the protective cover and warning label will be installed without delay.

状況
助手席に昇降シートを搭載した車両において、昇降シートの折畳式フットレストのヒンジ端部が露出しているため、フットレストを使用せずにシートの下降操作をした場合、当該ヒンジ端部に足等が接触し、最悪の場合、足等を負傷するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、フットレストのヒンジ部に保護カバーを装着するとともに、フットレストの使用方法について警告ラベルを貼付する。なお、保護カバーの準備に時間を要することから当面の措置として、使用者に対しダイレクトメールにて不具合内容と使用上の注意喚起を行ない、部品の準備ができ次第、保護カバーを装着するとともに、警告ラベルを貼付する。
