Defect
In the automatic transmission, an incorrect assembly fixture was used when installing the oil seal on the manual shift lever shaft, causing the seal lip to fold over on some units. This allows oil to leak from the affected area and, in the worst case, may render the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the automatic transmission oil seal for lip fold-over and oil leakage. If either condition is found, replace the automatic transmission with a conforming unit.

状況
自動変速機のマニュアルシフトレバーシャフトのオイルシールにおいて、シャフトの組付治具が不適切であったため、オイルシールのリップがめくれているものがある。そのため、当該部位からオイルが漏れ、最悪の場合、走行不能に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、自動変速機のオイルシールを点検し、オイルシールのリップめくれ、オイル漏れのあるものは自動変速機を良品に交換する。
