Defect
On vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission, the retaining screws for the shift and parking brake lever are insufficiently torqued, allowing the screws to loosen during use. Continued use may cause the retaining screws to fracture and the lever to disengage. In the worst case, the parking brake cannot be applied or released.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the lever retaining screws with new screws, apply thread-locking compound to the threads, and torque to the specified value.

状況
オートマチックトランスミッションを搭載した車両において、変速及び駐車ブレーキ用レ バーの固定ネジの締付力が不足しているため、固定ネジが弛み出すものがある。そのため 、そのまま使用を続けると、最悪の場合、固定ネジが折損して当該レバーが抜け出し、駐 車ブレーキの作動または解除ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、レバー固定用ネジを新品と交換し、ネジ部に弛み防止材（ネジロック）を塗布し て、正規のトルクで締め付ける。
