Defect
The attachment nut securing the shift cable to the shift lever was not tightened to the specified torque during manufacturing, leaving some nuts with insufficient clamping force. Continued use allows the nut to loosen and, in the worst case, the shift cable can disengage, making gear selection impossible.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the tightening condition of the shift cable attachment nut and retighten to the specified torque any nut found to be loose.

シフトケーブルを変速レバーに接続する取付けナットの締付けが不十分なため、トルク が不足しているものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該ナットが 緩み、最悪の場合、シフトケーブルが外れシフト操作ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、シフトケーブル取付けナットの締付け状態を点検し、緩みのあるものは正規トル クで締付ける。
