Defect
An improperly designed electrical circuit routing from the power door mirror to the engine control unit allows noise generated during engine start-up to damage the integrated circuit (IC) inside the control unit. This may cause the oxygen sensor heater to become uncontrollable, illuminating the engine warning light, or may cause the injectors to become inoperable, resulting in rough running or a no-start condition.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, add a noise-suppression harness to the engine harness.

状況
電動ドアミラーからエンジンコントロールユニットへの電気配線の回路が不適切なため 、始動時に発生するノイズにより当該ユニット内部のIC (集積回路)が破損すること がある。そのため、酸素センサヒータが制御不能となりエンジン警告灯が点灯する、また はインジェクタが作動不能となりエンジン不調またはエンジン始動不能となるおそれがあ る。
改善措置
全車両、エンジンハーネスにノイズ対策用のハーネスを追加する。
