Defect

The crimp force applied to the terminals of the electrical wiring connected to the alternator is insufficient. The under-crimped terminal joints oxidize, leading to a broken wire or disconnection. As a result, the battery is no longer charged, and continued operation may cause the engine to stall and be unable to restart.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, the affected wiring terminals are cut off, the wire ends are treated with a protective finish, and a corrected replacement wiring harness is added.

状況

オルタネータ(発電機)に接続する電気配線の端子のかしめ力が不足しているため、当該端子のかしめ部が酸化し、断線する場合がある。そのため、バッテリが充電されなくなり、そのまま使用を続けると、原動機が停止し、再始動できなくなるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、当該配線の端子を切除して配線端部を保護処理し、対策された電気配線を追加する。
