Defect
On manual transmission vehicles, the heat shield on the dynamic damper—fitted to reduce shift lever vibration—has insufficient strength. Engine vibration may cause cracks to develop in the heat shield, generating abnormal noise. Continued use may result in the heat shield detaching from the vehicle and creating a road hazard for other traffic.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected heat shield with a corrected part.

状況
①手動式変速機において、シフトレバーの振動を低減するために装着されているダイナミ ックダンパーの遮熱板の強度が不十分なため、エンジンの振動等により亀裂が生じて異音 が発生するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、最悪の場合、当該 遮熱板が脱落して他の交通の安全を妨げるおそれがある。
改善措置
①全車両、当該遮熱板を対策品と交換する。
