Defect
① The control computer for the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) automatic PM (particulate matter) regeneration function contains an incorrect program. As a result, the automatic regeneration function may activate even when manual PM removal is required. This causes the DPF temperature to rise abnormally, which can damage the exhaust temperature sensor and illuminate the engine warning light. In the worst case, the DPF may be damaged and PM emissions may exceed the regulatory limit. (Note: Applies to diesel engine-equipped vehicles only.)
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the control computer with a corrected part, and inspect the DPF and exhaust temperature sensor, replacing any damaged components with new parts.

状況
①ＤＰＦ（ディーゼル微粒子除去装置）において、ＤＰＦ内に捕集されたＰＭ（粒子状物 質）の自動除去機能を制御するコンピュータに誤ったプログラムを組み込んだため、手動 操作によるＰＭの除去が必要であるにもかかわらず、自動除去機能が作動することがある 。そのため、ＤＰＦの温度が異常に上昇し、排気温度センサーが損傷してエンジン警告灯 が点灯し、最悪の場合、ＤＰＦが損傷してＰＭの排出量が基準値を超えるおそれがある。 備考：ディーゼルエンジン搭載車のみ
改善措置
全車両、当該コンピュータを対策品と交換するとともに、ＤＰＦ及び排気温度センサーを 点検し、損傷しているものは新品と交換する。
