Defect
① The control computer for the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) automatic PM (particulate matter) regeneration function contains an incorrect program. As a result, the automatic regeneration function may activate even when manual PM removal is required. This causes the DPF temperature to rise abnormally, which can damage the exhaust temperature sensor and illuminate the engine warning light. In the worst case, the DPF may be damaged and PM emissions may exceed the regulatory limit. (Note: Applies to diesel engine-equipped vehicles only.)
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the control computer with a corrected part, and inspect the DPF and exhaust temperature sensor, replacing any damaged components with new parts.

状況
①DPF(ディーゼル微粒子除去装置)において、DPF内に捕集されたPM(粒子状物 質)の自動除去機能を制御するコンピュータに誤ったプログラムを組み込んだため、手動 操作によるPMの除去が必要であるにもかかわらず、自動除去機能が作動することがある 。そのため、DPFの温度が異常に上昇し、排気温度センサーが損傷してエンジン警告灯 が点灯し、最悪の場合、DPFが損傷してPMの排出量が基準値を超えるおそれがある。 備考:ディーゼルエンジン搭載車のみ
改善措置
全車両、当該コンピュータを対策品と交換するとともに、DPF及び排気温度センサーを 点検し、損傷しているものは新品と交換する。
