Defect

On dual-front-axle vehicles, improper frame painting left paint runs present when the idler arm bracket was installed. Repeated steering inputs cause the bracket mounting bolts to loosen. This produces play during steering operation and, in the worst case, may allow the bracket to detach entirely, resulting in loss of steering control.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, inspect and correct paint runs at the relevant frame area, and replace the mounting bolts with corrected parts.

状況

 前2軸車において、車枠の塗装が不適切なため、塗料の垂れが生じた状態でアイドラア ームブラケットを取り付けたものがあり、かじ取り操作の繰り返しにより当該ブラケット の取り付けボルトが緩むものがある。そのため、かじ取り操作時にガタが発生し、最悪の 場合、当該ブラケットが外れてかじ取り操作が不能となるおそれがある。

改善措置

 全車両、フレーム当該部の塗料の垂れを点検し修正するとともに、取り付けボルトを対 策品に交換する。
