Defect
The plating process applied to the torque sensor circuit board in the electric power steering system is inadequate, causing the plated areas to chip away and produce poor conductivity within the board. This may cause an unequal steering effort between left and right turns. Steering effort may also increase overall.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the electric power steering gear assembly with a conforming unit.

状況
電動パワーステアリングのトルクセンサー基盤のメッキ工程が不適切なため、当該メッ キ部が欠損し、基盤内部が導通不良となるものがある。そのため、ハンドルの操作力の左 右差が発生するおそれがある。また、ハンドルの操作力が増大するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、電動パワーステアリングギヤ一式を良品と交換する。
