Defect
Insufficient welding of frame structural components in the chassis frame allows cracks to develop at the weld joints and around the shock absorber mounting bracket. This produces abnormal noise during driving and, in the worst case, the mounting bracket may detach from the chassis frame, compromising vehicle driving stability. Note: This notification adds newly identified vehicles to the recall originally filed on June 13, 2003 as Notification No. 956.
Corrective action
Inspect all vehicles. On units with insufficient welds, perform additional welding. On units where cracks have developed around the shock absorber mounting bracket, repair the cracks.

状況
車枠において、フレーム構成部品の溶接が不十分な為、当該溶接部に亀裂が生じ、更に 緩衝装置取付金具回りに亀裂が生じて、走行中に異音が発生し、最悪の場合、当該金具が 車枠から剥がれ、走行安定性がそこなわれるおそれがある。 (備考) 本届出は、平成15年6月13日「届出956」のリコール届出にあらたに対象車を追加するもの である。
改善措置
全車両点検し、溶接が不十分なものは追加溶接を行う。なお、緩衝装置取付金具回りに 亀裂が発生しているものは亀裂を修理する。
