Defect
The dust boot of the ball joint connecting the front suspension lower arm to the knuckle was damaged during the manufacturing process on some vehicles. Continued use allows mud and water to enter through the damaged area, causing abnormal friction wear of the bearing resin and, in the worst case, the ball stud may pull out of the joint.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the dust boot of the lower arm ball joint. Replace any unit showing damage with a serviceable part.

状況
緩衝装置の前輪用ロアアームとナックルを連結している継手(ポールジョイント)におい て、製造過程にてダストブーツを損傷したものがあり、そのままの状態で使用を続けると 、当該ダストブーツの損傷部より泥水が侵入してベアリングの樹脂が異常摩擦し、最悪の 場合、ボールスタッドが抜け出すおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ロアアームボールジョイントのダストブーツを点検し、傷の認められるもの は良品と交換する。
