Defect

On vehicles equipped with an idling stop-and-start system, the lever and link pin of the intake shutoff valve have insufficient strength. Continued use may cause the lever to break or the link pin to fracture and, in the worst case, the engine may fail to start.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the intake shutoff valve with the corrected part.

状況

アイドリングストップ・アンド・スタートシステム装着車において、吸気遮断バルブのレ バー及びリンク部ピンの強度が不足しているため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当 該レバーが破損またはリンク部ピンが折損し、最悪の場合、エンジンが始動できなくなる おそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、当該吸気遮断バルブを対策品と交換する。
