Defect
On vehicles equipped with refrigeration units, the mounting bracket for the refrigeration drive belt idler pulley has insufficient strength. Belt reaction forces can fracture the bracket. In the worst case, the pulley and bracket may detach and fall onto the roadway, creating a hazard to other traffic.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the idler pulley mounting bracket with the corrected part.
