Issue

The holding force setting of the power rear gate drive unit is incorrect. On some units, the holding force is insufficient under high-temperature conditions. If the rear gate is fully opened while the vehicle is parked on a slope, the gate may fail to hold the fully open position and drop downward.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, the power rear gate control unit program is reprogrammed with the corrected/updated software. In addition, the serial number of the power rear gate drive unit is inspected, and any unit with insufficient holding force is replaced with a conforming part.

状況

パワーリアゲートにおいて、パワーリアゲート・ドライブユニットの保持力設定が不適切なため、高温環境下での保持力が不足しているものがある。そのため、坂道に駐車する等してリアゲートを全開した場合、全開状態を保持できずにリアゲートが下がるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、パワーリアゲート制御ユニットのプログラムを対策プログラムに修正する。また、パワーリアゲート・ドライブユニットの製造番号を点検し、保持力が不足しているものは良品と交換する。
