Issue

In the automatic transmission parking mechanism, the parking roller rod retention pin has insufficient strength. The pin may develop a crack and, in the worst case, fracture completely. If the pin breaks, the retainer disengages, and the parking mechanism may fail to engage even when the transmission is shifted to the Park position. (Note: This notification adds newly identified affected vehicles to the improvement measures filing originally submitted on November 20, 2001, as Notification No. 195.)

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the parking roller rod with a corrected part.

状況

 動力伝達装置において、自動変速機のパーキング機構のパーキングローラーロッド抜け 止めピンの強度が不足しているため、当該ピンに亀裂が入ることがあり、最悪の場合、ピ ンが折損してリテーナが抜け出し、パーキングポジションへシフト操作をしてもパーキン グ機構が作動しなくなるおそれがある。 (備考) 本届出は、平成13年11月20日「届出195」の改善対策届出に新たに対象車を追加 するものである。

改善措置

全車両、当該パーキングローラーロッドを対策品に交換する。
