Defect
The automatic transmission shift lever is improperly machined, causing play and flex between the lever and the detent pin or lock pin. As a result, when the driver shifts to the P range, the lever may indicate P while the transmission itself remains in R range. In the worst case, the vehicle may roll rearward.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the complete automatic transmission shift lever assembly and the shift control cable with corrected parts. As an interim measure pending availability of corrected parts, a caution plate describing proper P-range operation procedure will be distributed to alert owners.

状況
自動変速機操作レバーの加工が不適切なため、当該レバーとディテントピンまたはロックピンにガタ・たわみ等が発生しているものがある。そのため、シフト操作を行った際に操作レバーがＰレンジ位置にあるにもかかわらず、自動変速機本体側はＲレンジのままとなっており、最悪の場合、車両が後退するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、自動変速機操作レバー一式及びシフトコントロールケーブルを対策品に交換する。尚、対策品の供給に時間を要するため、当面の措置としてＰレンジ操作時の注意事項を記載したコーションプレートを配布し、ユーザの注意喚起を図る。
