Issue
The parking mechanism actuating lever of the automatic transmission — which mechanically locks the output shaft — is improperly machined. When the selector is moved to the Park position, the lever interferes with the valve body, resulting in insufficient engagement between the parking pawl and parking gear. If the vehicle is parked on a slope and the parking brake is not applied, the gear teeth bear excessive load and, in the worst case, the vehicle may roll away.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the affected parking mechanism. Where the condition is confirmed, replace the valve body with a corrected part.

状況
自動変速機のパーキング機構(自動変速機のアウトプットシャフトを機械的に固定する機構)の作動レバーの加工が不適切なため、パーキング位置へ操作した際、レバーがバルブボデーと干渉し、パーキングポールとパーキングギヤの噛み合いが不十分なものがある。そのため、坂道等に駐車し、駐車ブレーキを掛け忘れた場合、ギヤに大きな力がかかり、最悪の場合、車両が動き出すおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該パーキング機構を点検し、対象となるものはバルブボデーを対策品と交換する。
