Defect
The solenoid valve coil wire inside the automatic transmission hydraulic control system was improperly crimped during manufacturing, causing deformation of the wire. Repeated thermal expansion and contraction from transmission temperature cycling applies stress to the deformed wire, and it may develop a broken wire. This prevents normal hydraulic pressure control, causing clutch slippage and shift malfunctions. In the worst case, the vehicle becomes inoperable or moves forward while the selector is in the N range.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the automatic transmission serial number. On affected units, test solenoid valve continuity. Vehicles with an abnormality receive a complete automatic transmission assembly fitted with a conforming solenoid valve. Vehicles with no abnormality have only the solenoid valve replaced with a conforming unit.

状況
自動変速機に内蔵された油圧を制御するソレノイドバルブのコイル線のかしめ時における作業方法が不適切なため、コイル線が変形し、自動変速機の温度変化による熱膨張収縮の繰り返し応力により、コイル線が断線するものがある。そのため、正常な油圧制御ができなくなり、クラッチの滑りや変速不良が発生し、最悪の場合、走行不能あるいはＮレンジで車両が前進するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、自動変速機のシリアル番号を点検し、対象となるものは、ソレノイドバルブの導通状態を検査し、異常のあるものは、ソレノイドバルブの良品を組み込んだ自動変速機一式と交換する。また、異常のないものは、当該ソレノイドバルブを良品と交換する。
