Issue
In the power transmission system, the spring retaining position on the rod that locks the automatic transmission parking mechanism gear is improperly set on some vehicles. As a result, shifting to the Park position may rarely fail to engage the parking mechanism. In the worst case, the vehicle may roll away. Note: if the parking brake is applied simultaneously, vehicle movement will not occur.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the rod with a new part.

状況
動力伝達装置において、自動変速機のパーキング機構のギヤをロックさせるロッドのス プリングの止め位置に不適切なものがあり、パーキングポジションへシフト操作してもパ ーキング機構が稀に作動しなくなり、最悪の場合、車両が動き出すおそれがある。なお、 駐車ブレーキを併用していれば、車両が動き出すことはない。
改善措置
全車両、良品のロッドと交換する。
