Defect
In the powertrain, the internal oil pump shaft of the 6-speed manual transmission received improper heat treatment during manufacturing, resulting in insufficient strength. The shaft may fracture and become wedged in the gap between the transmission case and internal gears, damaging the transmission case and causing an oil leak. Continued use may, in the worst case, render the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
Inspect the shaft on all vehicles. If the shaft is fractured, replace the transmission with a conforming unit. If the shaft is not fractured, replace the shaft assembly with a conforming part.

状況
動力伝達装置において、前進6段の手動変速機内部オイルポンプシャフトに熱処理が不 適切なため強度が不足しているものがあり、当該シャフトが破損してミッションケースと 内部ギヤの隙間に噛み込むことにより、ミッションケースが破損してオイル漏れをおこす ことがあり、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、最悪の場合、走行不能になるおそれがあ る。
改善措置
全車両、当該シャフトを点検し、破損しているものは良品の変速機と交換し、破損して いないものは良品のシャフト一式と交換する。
