Issue

In the engine, inadequate process controls during crankshaft manufacturing allow residue to remain on the pulley bolt mounting threads, reducing bolt clamping force. Continued operation causes the bolt to loosen and produces abnormal noise. In the worst case, the accessory drive belt detaches from the crankshaft pulley, illuminating the charge warning lamp and increasing steering effort.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the pulley mounting bolts with corrected parts and inspect the crankshaft and key. If damage is found at those locations, replace with new parts.

状況

 原動機において、クランクシャフトの製造工程管理が不適切なため、プーリーボルト取 付けネジ部に残留物が付着しているものがあり、プーリー取付けボルトの締付力が不足し 、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該ボルトが弛み、異音が発生し、最悪の場合、ク ランクプーリーから補機駆動用ベルトが外れ、充電警告灯が点灯するとともに、ハンドル の操作力が増大するおそれがある。

改善措置

 全車両、プーリー取付けボルトを対策品に交換するとともに、クランクシャフト及びキ ーを点検し、当該部位に損傷のある場合は、良品と交換する。
