Issue
The mounting surface of the crankshaft timing belt guide plate was improperly machined during the manufacturing process, resulting in insufficient contact area on some engines. Continued use allows the pulley mounting bolts to loosen, producing abnormal noise. In the worst case, the crankshaft pulley may spin freely or the accessory drive belt may disengage from the crankshaft pulley, illuminating the charging warning light and increasing steering effort.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the pulley mounting bolts with corrected parts and inspect the crankshaft and key. If damage is found at those locations, replace with new parts.

状況
原動機において、クランクシャフトのタイミングベルトガイドプレートの取付座面の加 工が不適切なため、取付座面の面積が不足しているものがあり、そのままの状態で使用を 続けると、プーリー取付ボルトが弛み、異音が発生し、最悪の場合、クランクプーリーが 空転、または、クランクプーリーから補機駆動用ベルトが外れ、充電警告灯が点灯すると ともに、ハンドルの操作力が増大するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、対策品のプーリー取付ボルトに交換するとともに、クランクシャフト及びキー を点検し、当該部位に損傷がある場合は、良品と交換する。
