Defect
In the engine, an incorrect rust inhibitor was applied to the sealing bolt that prevents rotation of the rocker arm shaft. Engine heat reduces the bolt's clamping torque, causing the bolt to loosen and fall out. Continued use in this condition allows engine oil to leak. In the worst case, the rocker arm shaft may be ejected, causing the engine to stall while driving with no possibility of restart.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the sealing bolt with a conforming part.
