Defect

In the fuel system, improper manufacturing of the threads on the fuel pump unit retaining nut on the fuel tank results in some nuts not being fully tightened during fuel pump unit assembly. Continued use in this condition may allow fuel to leak from the unit mounting point when the fuel tank is full.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, inspect the tightening condition of the retaining nut. On any unit found insufficiently tightened, retighten the nut to the specified torque.

状況

 燃料装置において、燃料タンクの燃料ポンプユニット締め付けナットのネジ部の製造が 不適切なため、燃料ポンプユニット組付時に当該締め付けナットが充分締付されていない ものがあり、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、燃料満タン時に当該ユニット取付け部か ら燃料が漏れるおそれがある。

改善措置

 全車両、締め付けナットの締め付け状態を点検し、締め付けが不充分なものは当該ナッ トの再締め付けを行う。
