Issue
The circuit relay in the fuel pump actuator may be improperly assembled. As a result, the fuel pump continues to operate even when the engine is stopped with the ignition switch in the ON position. In the worst case, if a collision ruptures the fuel pipes or related components, fuel will continue to leak.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the circuit relay for proper operation. If the relay is found to be malfunctioning, replace it with a new unit.

状況
燃料ポンプの作動装置において、サーキットリレーに組付不良のものがあり、イグニッシ ョンスイッチがONの状態でエンジンが停止した時においても燃料ポンプが作動し続ける ため、最悪の場合、衝突事故により燃料パイプ等が破損した時には、燃料が漏れ続けるお それがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該サーキットリレーの作動を点検し、作動不良の場合は、当該サーキットリレ ーを新品と交換する。
