Issue

The support pipe section of the steering column lower bearing contains a machining defect. Continued use under high-temperature conditions reduces the bond strength between the bearing and the column pipe. In the worst case, the bearing can pull out, causing play in the steering and abnormal noise during steering operation.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, an additional clamp is installed to secure the bearing. On vehicles where the bearing has already pulled out, the bearing is restored to its correct position and the additional clamp is installed.

状況

かじ取り装置のステアリングコラム下部ベアリングの支持パイプ部に加工不良のものがあ り、このままの状態で高温下で使用を続けると、当該ベアリングとコラムパイプ間の接着 力が低下し、最悪の場合、当該ベアリングが抜け出し、ハンドル操作時にガタつき及び干 渉音が発生する。

改善措置

全車両、当該ベアリングを固定するクランプを追加装着する。当該ベアリングが抜け出て いるものは、修復し、クランプを追加装着する。
