Filing in context
The Exhaust emission reduction device is the most frequently cited component category in this archive, appearing in 11 of its 4,890 filings. This filing is one of 8 Mitsubishi notifications from 2026 in this archive. For scale, 4,255 of the 4,890 filings in this archive report a larger number of affected vehicles; the vehicles involved here were manufactured over a span of about 1 month.
Defect
On the exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR valve, EGR pipe), pipe stays, harness stays, and cooler stays, inadequate torque management during assembly resulted in mounting bolts not being tightened to the specified torque. Continued use allows the bolts to loosen, which may cause exhaust gas leaks. Additionally, foreign matter ingestion or a detached component becoming entangled in the generator may damage the engine, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, retighten the mounting bolts for the engine EGR valve, EGR pipe, pipe stays, harness stays, and cooler stays to the specified torque. Inspect all affected components for detachment or contact damage with surrounding devices, and replace any detached or damaged parts with new components.
Affected models & chassis ranges
This filing lists 2 type code(s). A vehicle is affected if its chassis number falls within one of the ranges below.
| Type code (型式) | Model | Chassis ranges |
|---|---|---|
| YDM-KF14F | ERSIS | KF14F-10380 |
| YDM-KF18D | ERSIS | KF18D-21363 — KF18D-74365 |
