Defect

On four-axle heavy trucks, the left front and rear wheel fender flaps were not adequately designed, allowing the fender flap to continuously contact the resin-based urea solution tank during vehicle operation. Driving vibration and repeated contact cause the tank to abrade. In the worst case, the tank may be perforated, resulting in a urea solution leak.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, install additional anti-vibration brackets on the left front and rear wheel fender flaps. Inspect the urea solution tank and replace it if abrasion is found.
