Overview
| MLIT filing number | 1157200 |
|---|---|
| Type | Statutory Recall (government-mandated recall) |
| Date filed | September 25, 2025 |
| Manufacturer(s) | Mazda |
| Component | Fuel Hose / Pipe |
| Production period | March 2015 — June 2018 |
| Vehicles affected | 18,491 units |
Defect
In the fuel pipe, improper management of the retention force applied by the bracket has left some pipes with insufficient holding force. Repeated high-rpm engine operation, such as track driving, causes the fuel pipe to resonate from vibration and develop a crack. Continued use allows the crack to progress, resulting in a fuel leak and engine stall that may prevent restart. In the worst case, a vehicle fire may occur.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the fuel pipe with the corrected part. Because preparation of replacement parts requires additional time, further notification will be issued once parts are available.
