Defect
In the electrical wiring, the terminal crimps between wires in the left handlebar switch harness were improperly formed. Repeated sliding of the harness caused by steering input wears down the crimped sections. Continued use causes the worn crimp areas to oxidize and increase electrical resistance, which may result in the horn failing to sound or the driving headlamps failing to illuminate.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the left handlebar switch harness with a corrected part that eliminates the inter-wire terminal crimp. Because supply of the corrected part requires additional time, an interim measure of rerouting the left handlebar switch harness will be implemented immediately. Once parts are available, customers will be notified and the corrected part will be installed.

状況
電気配線において、左ハンドルスイッチハーネス電線間の端子かしめが不適切なため、ハンドル転舵操作によるハーネスの摺動が繰り返されると、端子のかしめ部が摩耗することがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、かしめ部が酸化して抵抗値が高くなり、警音器が吹鳴しない、走行用前照灯が点灯しないおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、電線間に端子かしめがない左ハンドルスイッチハーネスの対策品と交換する。なお、対策品の供給に時間を要することから、暫定措置として、左ハンドルスイッチハーネスの配索を変更し、部品準備が整い次第、改めて案内し対策品と交換する。
