Defect
Inadequate control of the grease application equipment during ABS modulator production caused excessive grease to be applied to the O-ring of the reservoir piston. Repeated brake applications can transfer this excess grease to the outlet valve, where contaminants may become embedded in it and jam the check valve. If this occurs, stopping distance may increase.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the ABS modulator serial number will be inspected, and any affected unit will be replaced with a correct part.

状況
ＡＢＳ（アンチロックブレーキシステム）モジュレータにおいて、グリス塗布設備の管理が不適切なため、リザーバピストンのＯリングへ過剰なグリス量が塗布されたものがある。そのため、ブレーキ操作の繰り返しによりアウトバルブへ移動したグリスに異物が付着し、逆止弁へ噛み込むと、制動停止距離が伸びるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ＡＢＳモジュレータの製造番号を点検し、該当するものは良品に交換する。
