Defect

On buses, terminal crimping performed during the manufacturing process on the battery cable is improper, leaving the cable damaged. Continued use may cause the cable to develop a broken wire, preventing the engine from restarting.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, inspect the battery cable. If the terminal crimp profile is improper, replace the cable with a conforming part.

状況

バスのバッテリケーブルにおいて、製造工程での端子圧着作業が不適切なため、ケーブルが損傷しているものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、ケーブルが断線し、エンジンが再始動できなくなるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、バッテリケーブルを点検し、端子圧着部の形状が不適切なものは当該ケーブルを良品に交換する。
