Defect
The electrical wiring routed along the left side of the engine was designed without sufficient consideration for clearance, causing the wiring to contact the intercooler and surrounding components. Engine vibration can then wear through the wiring insulation, creating a short circuit. In the worst case, this may result in a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, add protective material to the affected wiring. On some vehicles, also replace the wiring retention bracket with a corrected part. If damage to the wiring is found, repair it.

状況
エンジン左側の電気配線において、配索の設計検討が不十分なため、配線がインタークーラー等の周辺部品と干渉することがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、エンジンの振動等で配線の被覆が損傷し、最悪の場合、配線の短絡により火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該配線に保護材を追加するとともに、一部車両に対しては配線固定用ブラケットを対策品に交換する。なお、当該配線に損傷が認められる場合は補修する。
