Defect
On medium-duty trucks, insufficient design consideration for wiring routing variation allows the wiring on the left frame section to contact the engine side cover and surrounding components. Continued use causes the wiring insulation to wear through from driving vibration, and in the worst case, a short circuit in the wiring may result in a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, add protective material to the affected wiring. On select vehicles, the engine side cover will also be modified. If damage is found on the affected wiring, it will be repaired.

状況
中型トラックの電気配線において、配索ばらつきの設計検討が不足していたため、左フレーム部の配線とエンジンサイドカバー等の周辺部品が干渉しているものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、走行時の振動等で当該配線の被覆が損傷し、最悪の場合、配線の短絡により火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該配線に保護材を追加するとともに、一部車両に対してはエンジンサイドカバーを加工する。なお、当該配線に損傷が認められる場合は補修する。
