Filing in context
The Computer is the most frequently cited component category in this archive, appearing in 42 of its 4,890 filings. This filing is one of 27 Mitsubishi notifications from 2025 in this archive. For scale, 2,445 of the 4,890 filings in this archive report a larger number of affected vehicles; the vehicles involved here were manufactured over a span of about 1 year and 8 months.
Defect
The control software in the BMS (Battery Management System: high-voltage battery ECU) and DCB (DC Box: rapid-charging ECU) is incorrect, causing the system to falsely detect a CAN communication error. When this false detection occurs, the EV system warning lamp (red) illuminates and the high-voltage battery state-of-charge displayed on the instrument cluster drops to 0%. As a result, the vehicle may become inoperable while driving, or the high-voltage system may fail to start when the ignition is switched on.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the BMS and DCB control software with the corrected/updated software.

※BMS(Battery management system:高電圧バッテリー用ECU) ※DCB(DC Box:急速充電用ECU)
改善措置
全車両、BMSおよびDCBの制御プログラムを対策品に書き換える。
