Defect
On large trucks, the propeller shaft balance weights were welded using an improper welding method, resulting in defective welds on some units. The balance weights may detach and fall from the vehicle while driving, creating a hazard to other traffic.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the weld condition of the propeller shaft balance weights. If defective welds are found, replace the complete propeller shaft assembly with a non-defective unit.

状況
大型トラックのプロペラシャフトにおいて、バランスウェイトの溶接方法が不適切なため、溶接不良が生じているものがある。そのため、走行中にバランスウェイトが剥がれて脱落し、他の交通の妨げになるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、プロペラシャフトのバランスウェイトの溶接状況を点検し、溶接不良が認められた場合は、良品のプロペラシャフト一式に交換する。
