Defect
Due to insufficient verification during design of the three-piece rear underrun protection device, the effective surface area on both outer rear sections of the device does not meet the required standard when installed on vehicles with an overall width of 2,000 mm or greater. As a result, the device does not conform to Safety Standards Article 18-2.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace both outer sections of the underrun protection device with corrected/revised parts.

状況
３分割式の突入防止装置において、設計時の確認が不十分であったため、全幅２，０００ｍｍ以上の自動車に装着した場合、当該装置の両側後面の有効表面積が基準を満たさない。そのため、保安基準第１８条の２に適合しない。
改善措置
全車両、突入防止装置の両側を対策品に交換する。
