Defect
An incorrect rear bumper was selected for the underride protection device on van-type vehicles, resulting in a bumper that is too wide. The outermost edge of the underride protection device extends beyond the outermost edge of the rear axle wheels. This condition violates the standards for anti-wrap-in devices established under Article 18-2 of the Road Vehicles Safety Standards.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the underride protection device's rear bumper with the correct production part.

状況
バン型車の突入防止装置のリヤバンパーの選定が不適切なため、リヤバンパーの幅が長いものがある。そのため、突入防止装置の最外側縁が、後軸車輪の最外側より外側にあることから、道路運送車両の保安基準第１８条の２で定める巻込防止装置等の基準に抵触する。
改善措置
全車両、当該突入防止装置のリヤバンパーを正規品に交換する。
