Filing in context
This filing is one of 23 Mazda notifications from 2024 in this archive. For scale, 1,615 of the 4,890 filings in this archive report a larger number of affected vehicles; the vehicles involved here were manufactured over a span of about 3 months.
Defect
In the center display (10.25-inch type), a defective screen correction program fails to compensate for disrupted video signals that occur when switching to the television screen or switching from television to the navigation or other screens. The corrupted video signal causes a striped pattern to appear on the display, and the camera image may not be shown.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the center display part number and, if it matches the affected number, replace the unit with a corrected/revised part.
