Defect
On road maintenance vehicles, the power switch for the rotating beacon lamp was manufactured without applying grease to the switch contacts due to an improper manufacturing process. Repeated switch operation may cause contact failure and, in the worst case, the rotating beacon lamp may extinguish while lit.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the power switch with a conforming replacement part.
